THE BIBB COUNTY RECYCLING PROGRAM

is a project of the Bibb County Chamber of Commerce and the following Chamber Partners: Wal-Mart, Oakmulgee District of the Talladega National Forest, Friends of the Cahaba National Wildlife Refuge, Bibb County Commission, Alabama Cooperative Extension - Bibb County Office, City of Brent and City of Centreville.

 

We ask everyone to  join with us to put shredded paper, newspaper, aluminum cans and plastics into separate bags, and then place the bags into designated recycling carts located at the Bibb County Chamber of Commerce office in Centreville. City trucks will transport the carts to Wal-Mart, where the contents will be baled and transported to Birmingham for recycling.

HOURS OF OPERATION 

Tuesdays and Thursdays  8AM until 2PM

Wytesha Underwood, volunteer for the Bibb County Extension Office unloads shredded paper collected from the Bibb County Board of Education and the Bibb County Extension Office.

ACCEPTED ITEMS INCLUDE:

Hard drives ($10.00 if destroyed) - Monitors* - Keyboards/Mice* - Cables/Wiring - Power Supplies* - Printers/Copiers* - Fax Machines* - Telephones/Cell Phones - Scanners* - Battery Back-ups - Printer Cartridges* - Microwaves* - Radios* - Video Game Systems* - Cameras (digital or video)* - batteries -      ***any metal (shelving, file cabinets)    ***all electronics except TVs
A certificate of Destruction/Recycling will be issued.
